This site is primarily for basic information. The primary website for my classes will be Google Classroom and Edmodo. These are sites where our class can view / complete homework, share links and references / notes, form groups to complete assignments, receive feedback, and take quizzes. In addition assignments can be seen on Course Pages on Parent Portal.

You will need to enter an e-mail for this. Follow any other directions. then you will join our class at the beginning of the year.

CLASS PROCEDURES
1. Pass in homework. (collected one minute after bell – or it’s late).
2. Copy homework into planner - ODD NUMBERS.
3. Copy log information into notebook, include Spanish date.
DIARIO (number log) ODD numbers = homework
EVEN numbers = classwork
REFERENCIA = letter log (any vocabulary sheets or notes)
4. Copy daily objective onto OBJETIVO DIARIO, include Spanish date.
5. Begin DO NOW (PARA EMPEZAR). Thisshow missing work. Grades are updated weekly. Some assignments may be written or oral.

Middle School World Languages Department Grading Policy
The goal of the study of another language is to develop the ability to communicate in that language. Through active engagement in meaningful use of the language students develop a variety of skills that allow them to use the language they are studying. Specifically students learn to:
10% - Homework: Practice of skills developed in class and completion of assignments outside of class to most efficiently utilize class time are critical components that lead to success in language learning.
The district grading scale is as follows:
100 A+ 77 – 79 C+
93 - 96 A 73 – 76 C
90 – 92 A- 70 – 72 C-
87 – 89 B+ 65 – 69 D
83 – 86 B 0 – 64 F
